Jean Claude has served as an advisor and business consultant to MEG. Based in Paris, France, Mr. Ast is president of boutique publisher Flaubert Publishing. A seasoned executive, investor and entrepreneur, Jean Claude founded Bing Bang Music with legendary recording artist, songwriter and producer Laurent Voulzy.
He was Vice President of European affairs at Gillette Madison whose clients included the best in Jazz such as Chick Correa, Lionel Hampton, Stan Getz, BB King, George Benson, Joe Williams, Al Jarreau, and Gary Burton. Mr. Ast's recent projects include a television special featuring Laurent Voulzy, Larry Carlton, Tak Matsumoto, and Peter Frampton for Midem Music conference in association with WBA Entertainment, 335 Records, TFI, HBO, and BBC.
Jean Claude Ast is a licensed concert promoter and is presently developing two theatrical musicals, “The Fabulous Journey of Mata Hari” and “Merlin and the Sword.” Recently he was creative consultant and advisor to the independent award-winning feature film “Tang Jia Ling,” by Chinese filmmaker Huilong Yang (Paris, Tokyo, Taipei International Film festivals).
